I picture Freebase sometimes like Christian Bale in American Psycho. Very clean and neat type person with an apartment that has a cold empty feeling to it like no one really lives there. No warmth to it.

First of all, I think you're trying to make a potshot because you're still butthurt, honestly. It's not psychopath tendencies anyway, it's antisocial personality disorder which you are describing, which anyone should be able to see that it doesn't apply to Jeremy, at all. This extremely hyperbolic and vitrolic sentiment is just fucking ridiculous honestly. Jeremy is a good person, or the person he displays is (). He's honest to a point, and sometimes can give off a holier-than-thou attitude, but frankly he says some genuinely kind things and really doesn't deserve that kind of finger pointing. I mean, he even defended Neapolitan when it wasn't even necessary once.I don't know if anyone else remembers it but me though... But yeah dude.

Freebase, cold, anti-social? You probably haven't been to our various group chats. He's very much the opposite. It does seem like he's more composed and cold in a forum setting (even more so when he became a mod), but I haven't really been around too much till just recently, so this is just my crappy recollection of what people were like.

No, I'm not taking potshots. You can ask Jeremy. I have mentioned that to him before. This is about the third time. I think I asked him about it in the MB cribs thread or somewhere. This feeling about him being that way, isn't a new feeling. I'm not trying to insult him or take a "potshot" at him.

If he feels that way then I apologize but if he remembers correctly we have talked about it in the past.

No need to come to his rescue when he doesn't need saving.

In my eyes you just said I am only friendly for a reason and that I am a lazy ass mofo that doesn't even want to work. There wasn't even the usual "I don't dislike you, but". You just said it, like that. And that's all you really said. So... if you excuse me; WHAT tact are you talking about exactly?

It's not a court of law, and nothing said here is being treated as fact. It's opinion, regardless of your personal validation of it. The sooner you accept that, the better off you'll be. Not only here, but in life in general.
Well how is it a good thing that you, personally, think those things about me? That doesn't do any good for me. You still think that utter crap.

By the way, my original post had nothing to do about you and your job issues. I was speaking to your interactions at this forum, with people at this forum, which I've been present to observe. It wasn't until you arbitrarily steered the conversation toward a "job" direction, that I provided input to it.
If you're unsure of how things have unfolded, I suggest you re-read everything. I would suggest doing this with at least a semi-open mind.
I don't think I'll be able to do that open minded anymore, really.
I believe you when you say it wasn't a job issue, but that perhaps make stuff worse. In that case you say that I just 'try to get away with autism as a reason for the stuff I do'. Sort of spans my whole character, not even job-wise...

I think you're a great guy, but you have some glaring downfalls that I'm not sure I can contribute to your condition, what with you being a logical person and all. I'm willing to accept that I'm wrong, but I think you should be the one to prove me wrong. So far, I haven't seen that. I would really like to, though. And that's not sarcasm.
You have never been proven right.
How can you prove that I only am nice to people because of how it reflects on me?
And how can you tell That I'm a great guy but not mention that in a posting in which you kick me right in the face? I mean sure, if you said 'these are his downsides', it'd be a different story. But you just pointed out these two things and you really make it sound like that's my entire personality, like there's nothing more at all.

Hmmm, I recognize aspergers pretty good, usually and I didn't think he'd have aspergers. But now you mention the coldness, yes. He just writes it down there without looking back or thinking about the tone or emotion.
Nevertheless, I'm not sure if he has aspergers. I still don't think so, but I do see your point.
I had my doubts about Freebase in the very beginning. I should admit this definitely had something to do with his profession, so I figured I'd just try and be open minded and I actually started to like the guy. And then he writes down something like this .
Pity.

Btw, to the one who made this topic moderated again: Good job. I said it before and I say it again; It was good the way it was. I just don't understand why no one seemed to agree with that but now it's back the way it was anyway?

Please stop this S_K this is becoming embarrassing.
It's not like Freebase even said he disliked you.

One person on an entire forum full of people listed a few things that they considered negative traits about you based on your posting, that's all.

You're totally blowing this out of proportion and it seems to me people who would otherwise be sympathetic to you are beginning to get fed up of your constant whining about this.

You said you were leaving, you chose to stay. Now suck it up , put this behind you and shut the hell up about this.

If I misquoted, or mislabelled the names, my apologies. Just kind of struck me as urg...

I wish Freebase had followed the advice that he posted when he opened this thread; especially the rule about personal attacks. Both s_k and dj have helped to make MB a friendly and interesting place, and I think Freebase`s criticisms were really OTT. As a mod, I`m sure he could have PM-ed his complaints, instead of dragging two popular members of MB through what has turned into an unedifying public humiliation. It`s unpleasant enough to watch a boxer floor his opponents with a punch, but even less dignified is the spectacle of other MBers kicking these guys when they`re down.

For the record :-
* I see no justification for bullying dj into defending his musical tastes, just because they aren`t sophisticated or broad enough to meet the approval of a couple of members.
* I see no justification for malicious speculation about s_k`s employment history. If he says he can`t find work, I think we should accept that.
* I see no justification for making offensive remarks about dj`s sexuality IRL. That`s his business.

Even in a Spill Your Guts thread, posters should remember that MB is at its best when it functions as an inclusive community of music enthusiasts. That means tolerating a variety of posting styles, personalities, musical tastes and, why not?, providing some friendly encouragement too. It does not mean making clumsy, inappropriate accusations about other peoples` off-line personalities. Any such remarks are likely to be unreliable, needlessly hurtful, and way beyond the scope of a music forum.

This is probably the best thing anyone has ever posted in this thread. Thanks for saying it.

Wow... strangely enough, I know exactly where you got this from. It's based off something (on ONE occasion) I said in that thread about my apartment being so clean and orderly that people would think I was a serial killer. Regardless of whether that was a joke or not, it's still the absolutely only thing you based that entire opinion of me on... seeing as how I have never posted any pictures of my place, apart from my computer desk. Way to run with the evidence, buddy. Good to know that people like you can literally be told what to think.

Are you delusional? I never said you were a lazy mofo that doesn't even want to work. Never even hinted at it. Perhaps you should do another run-through of the conversation. Maybe someone else posted that and you're confusing them with me? Let us know when you get it figured out.

I simply said it seems like you use your Autism as an excuse for your mistakes... as though you're inherently incapable of error, but for the disability. That's just the vibe I get from your posts. If you can't handle someone getting that vibe, then I don't know what to tell you... perhaps you should stop posting.

I'm not sure if you realize this, but I'm intelligent enough to know that I don't know everything about you, thus, I'm not making the claim that I do. I simply made some observations and commented on them. I know there's more to you than you share on the forums, and many of them are probably good things for all I know. But that doesn't invalidate what I think of what you've shown me. It's not something you can try to rationalize away from me. Just deal with it.

If I have Asperger's, then I'm unaware of it. I think do have a bit of a social anxiety disorder, but I haven't been diagnosed or anything. I don't think it would cause me to be any less of a person, or excuse me in any way. If you're wondering, no, I don't go around and tell people to their faces what I really think about them. This thread is the only place I've ever done that. It's quite therapeutic, if you ask me, but I do realize that it's a bit selfish of me. That's why I'd ask that if there are people who can't handle others thinking negatively of them, then they should not enter this thread. This thread is not supposed to be an orgy of ass-kissing. I apologize if people got that idea from the orgies of ass-kissing that have been going on in here for a while.

Please... just stop with all the bickering. This whole situation is just becoming embarrassing and drawn-out (on both sides). You both seem to be decent people.Sure, you have your flaws, but so does everyone else. I say drop it and move on...
