When you get down to it, anything worth talking about is potentially complex.

"That's a logo on a website" is boring.

"That logo uses this font, created by this person for this purpose in this year, except the typesetter has altered the kerning for greater readability. They've chosen to use a websafe colour pallete for better compatibility with non-true colour displays, showing that the logo was designed according to this set of web standards and is probably quite old now, and it's been saved as a .png file rather than .jpg to take advantage of transparency features that weren't supported in IE 5.5, meaning the designer was making it in accordance with web standards rather than IE specific hacks and workarounds."

Sure, that's dry and boring as ****, and might not be relevant, but honestly? I'd rather read the latter, because it tells me something, or at least gives me a prompt to look at something else I might learn from.

I wanna talk about his av. The quintessential "I don't give a ****" statement of the last two years. Cracks me up every time I see it.

ReadyMadeFour64: Bro, you don't have to quote the very first post on a thread to post in an active thread. Do you even know how to forum?

If you treat this thread like the shoutbox, simply inserting random crap that contributes nothing to the point of the thread, then your
post will not be approved, or it will be deleted. If you want to bring up an issue about this, PM a mod.

I agree Ki

I remember the 90s when Doctor Who fandom was all Autistic guys and gay men.

My issue with many female fans of nerdy things isn't attention seeking, or that sexist trope only guys are true fans and girls just poseurs. I just hate that so many fandoms made up of a high percentage of women inevitably devolve into shipping wars.

It's threatening to ruin Arrow: a perfectly awesome show, with writing that far surpasses what the CW is normally capable of, but due to the CW caving to girl fans who demand a certain couple get together, a romantic subplot is starting to dominate screen time and character development at the expense of the actual story. **** Olicity.

I'm a cheeseball who loves romantic subplots, but it's a superhero show god damn it. It should be at least 80% costumed superheroing.
