When you get down to it, anything worth talking about is potentially complex.

"That's a logo on a website" is boring.

"That logo uses this font, created by this person for this purpose in this year, except the typesetter has altered the kerning for greater readability. They've chosen to use a websafe colour pallete for better compatibility with non-true colour displays, showing that the logo was designed according to this set of web standards and is probably quite old now, and it's been saved as a .png file rather than .jpg to take advantage of transparency features that weren't supported in IE 5.5, meaning the designer was making it in accordance with web standards rather than IE specific hacks and workarounds."

Sure, that's dry and boring as ****, and might not be relevant, but honestly? I'd rather read the latter, because it tells me something, or at least gives me a prompt to look at something else I might learn from.

ReadyMadeFour64: Bro, you don't have to quote the very first post on a thread to post in an active thread. Do you even know how to forum?

If you treat this thread like the shoutbox, simply inserting random crap that contributes nothing to the point of the thread, then your
post will not be approved, or it will be deleted. If you want to bring up an issue about this, PM a mod.
I agree Ki

i tend to naively assume that women who have nerdy interests like anime and the like are smart. then eventually they manage to open their mouths and destroy that fantasy. this has happened to me a few times where i misread a girl who just adopts a few nerdy tropes as being legitimately intelligent. of course i never give guys the same benefit of the doubt. wishful thinking i'm sure. i can't tell you how many time's i've thought i found a cool smart girl only to find out it was a mirage

the funny thing is i don't even care for anime or comic books or any of that crap myself i just assumed that people who get into that **** are bound to be more intelligent based on stereotypes and all that. turns out a good portion of them aren't that intelligent, just socially awkward. oh well, **** happens.

I'm one of those I can't even watch anime type people, so I assume women who don't watch it are smart. The socially awkward comment is spot on. I own Heavy Metal and watch it but thats as far as my cartoon leanings go.

^Truth. I'm more of a physics club kind of nerd than a gaming club kinda nerd. Video games are a huge part of my life but definitely not in the same way as your stereotypical gamer, TCG player, etc. The people are FNM are soo freakin annoying. I'm an intellectual nerd not an I love anime and all things "geeky" nerd.
