Well, yeah, that's what friends are. A few people who are actually your friends, and then a larger number who are really just acquaintances who you call friends, cause otherwise they'd get offended.

Most people I'm acquainted with, I completely adore some days and fucking hate on other days. I'm almost ashamed of that.

Agreed. I think there's much more value in learning how to understand that other people are going to have opinions or methods that run counter to your own. The less that sort of thing actually affects you, the more independent of other people's opinions you actually are. Avoidance isn't the path to that.

I will listen to an opposing opinion to see how that other person ticks. Even if I don't agree with anything they say. But on the other hand if someone is going to be abrasive, derisive or vulgar those things I can do without. There is hardly any situation you can not learn from, even the jerks of the world can provide inspiration, and that is not to be like them.

I hear you, but on the other hand when it comes to those people who are both annoying and constantly post walls of text, they may be worth putting on ignore for practical reasons.

Hey... I've had friends.

I think the whole point, mine anyways, is that you don't have to read something just because its visible, and if its by a person you know you're not fond of, you should try to muster the willpower not to read it. Its good to develop willpower like that, better for you overall than just using an ignore button.

Or read it until it annoys you. Annoying people can have decent musings too.
