I'll have you know that I have reached a state of ultimate drunkenness but still retain more grace than any of you assholes.

I know you never made it out of the seventies, but I'll give you an update: Bea Arthur's dead.

You're awesome. I love this. You feel that assertive self? Do it always, regardless of influence. It is massively attractive.

nah cause i gotta do something to make money and the only **** i genuinely find interesting i can't afford the type of education it would take at this point to get that kind of job. i'm content man i've been doing this **** for a couple years and i know myself well enough to know that i can balance boredom with passion.

really, what ****s me up is all the arbitrary **** they want you to memorize for these certifications. i like messing around with networks and **** like that but then there is some truly boring arbitrary **** that they want me to memorize. it seems to me like the people who design the exams don't know that google exists.

Know that the exams and tests are nowhere near the requirement. You can do this job without them based solely on experience. I worked IT for 6 years in the Army and then went to college for it after I got out, and to be totally honest with you, I've learned more in the last two years of my job than the previous 8, easily. I'm not really sure where you're at in terms of the IT business, but if there's one thing that's for sure, the ability comes from doing. And f*cking up. And unf*cking it. Again and again and again. Until you know.

I guess it's like any other thing.
