Autistic people have social issues in society, but internet contact on a forum doesn't hold the same social value, as physically being face to face with somebody. For that reason alone, I personally think FPK is fully aware of what he's upto and plays the autisitic card to defend himself.
That last bit, my cousin is autistic and it definitely comes across on the internet, maybe not as much as in real life but it's definitely there.

As for Franco, I really like the guy, I said before he's the funniest poster on here and I enjoy the African music he posts. I don't think I have seen him say anything mean on here before. That last sentence is a bit weird, I'd rather give him the benefit of the doubt (must say I didn't realise he was autistic), at worst that sentence is quite vicious whereas at he at worst is just a guy who annoys people on the internet. You could just ignore his posts.

I didn't know FKP was autistic. This comes as a suprise to me. Some of the things he says I wouldn't suspect would come from an autistic person. If anyone thinks that calling hhbh and FKP "the Dynamic Duo of Irony" was somehow offensive to both and that I picking deliberately them is way off base. I was only trying to give FPK (and hhbh) advice in jesting manner that would not sound too preachy. Things like not to talk about certain entetainers too often and not to imply others are "trolls" etc. It would really be ironic if people that I was teasing someone I would looking out for. I really don't understand hhbh and FKP, still I don't like to see people picking on either them too.

So then: firstly, like many here it would seem, I did not know that he was autistic. I'm not sure where that was mentioned, but even so, the criticism levelled at him is in my mind justified. He IS single-minded and myopic about these two artistes --- he shoehorns references about them into everything he talks about, no matter the subject (which led to my admittedly but unintentionally tasteless comment about Howard, God rest his smutty soul) --- and people are tired of it. Kay was the first to blow up over this and I just expanded on her annoyance. I may have taken it too far, but I don't think there was anything nasty in what I said, which makes me wonder why Hermione is again attacking everyone.

Some people did not know. Had I known, would I have said what I did? Probably. I have two nephews who are autistic, but I don't think it gives you a free pass. As US says, FPK seems to know what he's doing so it's not like he can't control what he says. Does he do it to annoy people/be controversial? Well, he's compared himself to HHBH so you would have to wonder. I don't take anything back I said: I do apologise if it offended him but don't see how it could have, save for the Howard reference.

I think however some people should climb down off their soap boxes: everyone's entitled to say what they think (isn't that what this thread is all about?) and nobody should have to apologise for speaking their mind. FPK has been at this for months now, it was only a matter of time before someone snapped and said something. Then the dividing line appeared and people chose their side. So I guess ironically if FPK wanted controversy he got it, if he wanted to be the centre of attention that's what happened.

I'm the most sympathetic and understanding person you could meet, but even I have my limits. I snapped. If I caused offence I apologise, as I never mean or want to do that, but I think this defence/attack has now got a little out of hand, and we should all just move on to other things.

He's only autistic because he told me so on a previous post some time back. Up until then he'd made a name for himself as an annoying narrow-minded ass, who used to just post mostly in the lounge to get up people's noses, especially on topics he knew would get a reaction. Now he's revealed that he's autistic (we've only his word for that) and that now means everybody should go easy on him when he starts up on one of his rants. I don't discriminate and believe everybody should be treated the same way. I don't see why FPK should be treated any different when he's actually fully aware on what he's doing.

If I was to make offensive, narrow-minded or constantly annoying opinions on the forum, I'd expect to be challenged on them, I don't see why FPK should be exempt from this.

Pathetic that anyone gets annoyed enough about what another seemingly innocent poster says to the point that they would start abusing them/making fun or generally mocking them. Grow up yeah.

The problem I have with him as it's probably the same with most, is that he can't coherently put together a sentence when talking about himself, but once he's targeted, his sentences are in of what a senior in high school would write. I apologize if he is really autistic, but it can't be coincidence that when he's defending himself, his sentences are perfect, but when he isn't targeted, he writes like a five year old.

I don't know if he is or he isn't tbh, was just pointing out that it comes across on the internet and that accusing him of playing the autistic card is a bit on top. I've not seen him mention it and it seems others haven't either. He does mention those artists regularly but like someone else said I hardly see him post.

Who gives a ****? I skip over 75% of his posts because I find them to be rambling and nonsensical anyways.

Better than taking shots at him every chance I can find like Unknown Soldier does. Bro I think you're an otherwise good poster, but your obsessive hatred of this guy is just weird.

Yeah so writing one sentence defending someone is attacking everyone, as opposed to your long, drawn out, self righteous paragraphs.

You need to take a stadium of seats, kid.

Talking about the same two people in every possible situation in every possible post for months on end despite being told many, many times by many, many people that it annoys them to no end?

That's beyond the scope of autism unless FPK is an extreme, EXTREME case and is completely unable to comprehend or respond to DIRECT criticism of his actions.

Alternatively, he knows exactly what he's doing.

Personally, I don't think either of the above are the kind of thing that should give FPK a free pass to shoehorn those two into every conversation ever. SOMETHING needed to be said and now it has.
