I ask people to post on topic when threads get derailed just as any other mod does. Nobody's ever been banned or infracted for it. So why single me out for special treatment.

lol you're right and I guess I'm a bit of a dick for it. I don't do it just for ****s and giggles, I guess our personalities are just ones that are bound to clash.


Your post in the Howard thread was what prompted this. I found it self-righteous and kind of hypocritical to be honest.

All I was saying in that thread is every time we do have a thread like that it's ruined by people arguing & bickering over nothing. I would have thought with it being a member of the site this time that people would have made more of an effort to show some respect and watch what they said in there, but some didn't.

Ok so maybe I'm incorrect in perceiving that as a subtle warning. I've seen people banned for things like it though because a mod is short on patience and that's the most warning the poster gets.

Maybe I missed something on the Howard thread! But I found after the initial condolences towards Howard, that the thread was sadly turning into a thread of petty bickering which really has no place on that thread. Any forum member could have said what Urban said, but I guess when it comes from a mod it seems more like a telling off, rather than a please stop this type of request.

Call me a starry-eyed optimist but I saw very little bickering in that thread. It was mostly expressions of regret, tributes to him and the occasional side discussion.

Maybe bickering was the wrong adjective here, but the thread was being sidetracked with trivialities, rather than focusing on being solely an R.I.P thread.
