Not a lot else going on, so what the hell...

4zzz: I've noticed him online every now and then recently, but I do wish he'd post as often as he did, as he's got a superb taste in music and I always enjoyed reading his reviews. Very reasonable, nice guy as well.

Alfred: An MBer I'm in contact with outside this place. We have virtually no musical common ground, but I'm not the kind of bloke to hold that against anyone, especially since this lad is always willing to act on a recommendation of mine. Open-mindedness always does well in my books. Another one of our friendlier posters, and is gonna grow up to be a top man.

Flower Child: One of my favourite new sign-ups this year. Her journal and classic country thread (which I still need to review an album for!) are among my favourites on the site, and the fact she's a very good-hearted kid really does her rep a lot of favours around here.

Jackhammer: The first friend I made here, and one of few members I have contact with outside MB. He made me feel very welcome when I first joined, and it was mostly that that made me stick around and be as regular as I have been since. Like a few other members I could mention, has a mind-bogglingly diverse taste in music too. Top geezer too. Even if it did let me in the door, I do think it's a shame he stepped down as mod, as he did a lot of good with that position.

Janszoon: Introduced me to the Church long before they became hot property around here, for which I'll always be grateful. Great contributor, very level-headed, good sense of humour - an all-round decent guy.

JayJamJah: A bit of a guru-like figure to me, as the format for my Elvis Costello thread borrows more than a little from his Van Morrison one. Another pretty big Costello fan as well from what I gather which, as some of you may have guessed, is another thing I admire in someone

Lateralus: Joined up around the same time as me and for a while we were rivals for the noob of the year award. Has a good personality, is very warm and friendly and a fellow Oils fan - top lass in other words.

LoathsomePete: First came to my attention when he was kind enough to upload a couple of albums by Lovage and Peeping Tom, which I really appreciated as both those albums kicked arse. Superb choice for the modsquad, and he's done a great job since his name's been in blue.

Molecules: He's having some connection problems at the minute, which explains his absence for now, but I'll never get why he feels the need to keep his head low these days as he's much more popular and liked here than I think he realises.

Mojopinuk: Another person I have a lot of time for. We don't share a lot in musical taste, but the common ground we lack there is more than made up for by good old-fashioned football! Plus I get the feeling we listened to a lot of the same music as teenagers, a lot of which I've drifted away from since but I still do appreciate. Another one of my favourite members then.

Piss Me Off: Another member I've always liked. We're around the same age, both live in the same part of the country, both like our football, both love David Bowie etc. Ridiculously nice bloke too.

Rickenbacker: Whenever he comes across as mean, I can guarantee that it's just his way of having a laugh, because having spoken to him a few times before, he is another very nice kid. Fellow Pogues and Costello anorak too, which is always good. Another one of my favourite new sign-ups and one I hope sticks around. Really needs to get his album thread going again too.

Right Track: Was officially the first person on MB to respond to one of my posts, and at least I feel like we get along well. Plus, his Soul Cellar thread is basically what made me start paying attention to the wonders of Northern Soul, which is a move that's been so rewarding for me, so props for that too. Supports Man U, but no-one's perfect eh

Savannah: Didn't really have an opinion of her at first, until she decided to upload a Guy Clark mixtape for me which I've since downloaded and enjoyed immensely. Lovely girl with a heart of gold - anyone who thinks otherwise just completely misunderstands her.

Seltzer: A bit of an enigma to me, by which I mean he's on regularly enough to do a good job as mod, is a very good guy judging from the few exchanges I've had with him, but it's just a shame he doesn't post often as some.

Storymilo: Another one who falls under the best newbie umbrella. We share a lot of musical tastes, and while he's yet to truly dive in and start up a journal or something, he's definitely got he potential to be a very good member.

ToreTorden: What's to say that hasn't been said before? He's done a phenomenal amount of good here since he joined, even more so since he's been a mod. I've got a lot of time for, not really sure how much we share in musical taste but, as I've said before, such things don't really matter a lot to me.

Urban Hatemonger: First came to my attention via his 100 Things That Piss Me Off About Music thread, which he was finishing around the time I joined, and ever since I found myself agreeing with just about every point he made in that thread I've respected him a lot. Although, to my knowledge, I'm a little more pop and electronic dance-inclined, our tastes in music are very similar too - both massive Fall fans, our top 100 threads sharing a few albums and artists etc. Good guy, razor-sharp and a wicked sense of humour - MB just wouldn't be the same without him.

Zarko: Certainly has one of the most left-of-centre yet consistently impressive musical tastes on this site, judging by his journal. Nice bloke too - bit of a shame he doesn't post as often as others here.

Zeppy111: I'm surprised he's been here as long as he has, as it was quite a while after he joined that he first popped up on my radar. I'm a massive fan of his journal all the same, and he's another one of the most open-minded users here - always up not only for a recommendation but also to try it out too. So, yeah, I'm a fan.

Can't really think of a lot else to say. If I haven't mentioned you, it's probably simply that I don't know you all that well so I can give you a shout and make it semi-interesting reading, so sorry if you don't feel loved!

Yeah I think we did listen to a lot of the same stuff when we were younger, mainly your more mainstream garage stuff that the NME were masturbating over around 2000/2001. I've moved on from a lot of it myself too but some of its still good to throw on every now and then.

I wouldn't say our tastes are all THAT different, metal aside maybe. You probably find with most of what you listen to that I either like it or simply haven't heard before.

Molecules needs to start to post more again, thats for sure.

I'm a fan of Molecules. It's a pity he's not around as much these days.
He should post more

I've been meaning to start a journal sometime soon, but I'm having trouble thinking of an idea other than "albums I like and stuff". Anyway thanks a lot man

Much obliged, Bulldog. I did one about you not too long ago in my latest entry on this thread. I suppose its a few pages back. One thing I forgot to add to it, though, was that I think its cute how you say "top stuff" all the time.
