I've finally finished my Lizard review... that was very difficult to write.

The title track is my favourite from ITWOP. |
Great review, and a great album. Probably the only Crimson album where I like all the tracks equally, and it's one that certainly needs to be played all the way through, one of the best flowing Crimson albums.
|
Excellent job on this album Seltzer, I really like Lizard, it's one of the most complete albums KC did as Boo Boo already pointed out. My favorite track is Lizard but it's all good.

I don't know this one but I am a huge Crimson fan. I'll have to check it out.
|
Thanks guys... it'll probably be a wee while before I can get started with reviewing Islands though.

hmmm very interesting....
I've only heard 21st Century Schizoid Man, and I loved that song when I first heard it. I'll definitely have to check out the rest of their catalog. |
Since I can't wait for your Lark Tongues review what are your thoughts on Book Of Saturday?

Great reviews. There are definitely some things that I need to investigate. I have the few albums from the early 80's, plus the two disc retrospective. Something needs to be said about new addition, Gavin Harrison (on drums). He has been playing with Porcupine Tree since 2000, and is one of the finest drummers on the planet. As talented at Jazz, as he is at Progressive Rock, I am truly excited to see what comes out of that marriage.
On a side note, Robert Fripp is a regular guest on Steven Wilson's (Porcupine Tree) various projects, especially No-Man. |
I don`t know much about this band - but here in Australia we had a music program called `Rage` and they used an incredible riff for their promo Ads. I later discovered that slap bass riff was by King Crimson, a song called Sleepless.
Its got to be one of their catchiest eh? The only other song i know is, I Talk To The Wind, peaceful vibe to it nice. |
