But that was back in high school. Maybe today I would make it a couple chapters.
Did you read any novels in high school you actually liked?

Just keep it in public and stay out of PMs and other one-on-ones.

Animal Farm and Night

Edit: said 1984 at first but then I remembered I actually didn't read that in high school. Great public schools down there in Florida. We didn't read 1984 but we did read the house on ****in mango street.

Also, Lord of the Flies was a huge ****ing disappointment where the premise sounded cool but the actual book was a steaming pile of boring dog****.

The idea that you shouldn't interact with kids at all is crazy to me and it kinda sounds like a self report, if someone dosen't think they have enough self control to be around minors then yes they should stay away from them and also get help.

Abuse is a serious problem, treating kids like they're ghosts isn't the solution. Just be normal, goddamn.
it's not at all about self control. It's like SGR said... I have nothing in common with them. Besides the fact that we both probably cliff noted The Great Gatsby.

So like I said the only reason people try to befriend them is to be some kind of mentor, and not a single one of you strike me as good mentor material.

And yes children should absolutely be treated like ghosts. That's a great way of putting it.

What if me and some kid think Tupac is corny? That's something in common.

Kids today don't listen to Tupac, they listen to Lil Yachty and Jack Harlow.

Animal Farm is definitely a classic. I never read Night. My brother did though and he liked it.

Now that I think of it Pet Sounds was 14 back in the day which undermines my whole stance in a way. But he was smart enough to sneak in under the radar so I didn't even know he was so young at first.

But that Eleanor rigby thread where OH was supposedly being a groomer I just saw one ditsy teenager with no personality beyond being a kid who listens to old people music begging for adult validation for their music taste and a bunch of adults swarming in to try to influence her, the most territorial of which was OH, but all of it was corny.

You talk a lot of smack for an edgy high school boy.
