He only debates actual retards anymore. That's my experience anyway with the videos of his I've clicked on recently. His problem is fundamentally not that he's stupid but that he's just intellectually lazy.

But unless he was consistently losing debates with people other than Destiny then your argument is just claiming to be able to psychically divine his motives for doing less debates. His framing is that now that he has a bigger platform he has to be more responsible with who he platforms, and given how he's transitioned to being more chill in general I don't think that's an obviously self-serving rationalization. Obviously I'm not psychic about his motivations either but it's reasonable at least.

Sure, sure. It just coincides with him losing debates with destiny and entering the subsequent "fortress arc," but I can't prove his true motives etc etc. That's fine lol. Honestly though I don't really care too much about the debates and like his content because he's an entertaining host and I agree with more of his takes than many other content creators.

I mean like I said that's how it looks to me but it doesn't actually even matter if I'm wrong about the reason. The content is still watered down as a result.

And yeah that's fine...I do like debate content more and honestly I would almost never just listen to vaush monologue. I can fairly well guess what his takes are on most things so it's not so interesting to listen to uncontested.

It's entertaining listening to you two argue, and before you try to explain, I'm not interested in this, but I want you to know that I feel like an eighty-year old listening to two teenagers debate the merits of, say, Fortnite or Call of Duty or something.
