I actually found hasan like 4 years ago when they used to do that rajjj Royale thing. That's also where I first heard destiny etc.

But yeah bro there is a certain brand of react content that puts so little effort in to contributing that half the time if I do find a Hasan video with an interesting topic, I'll just hunt down the original video he's reacting to and watch that instea, without the 40 minutes of dead air while Hasan tries to gather his thoughts for some irrelevant side tangent that he's arguing with chat about.

I used Twitch here as a catch-all rather than...i don't know, pundit?

T1J is on Youtube. Here's how I found Hasan.

@jwb, I know you like the drama content, you ever watch ChudLogic?

SGR 12-05-2022 11:02 PM

Well here's the latest from an interview he did I think today with Gavin McGinness - telling Jews to forgive Hitler and let it go.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Kanye/comme...and_to_let_it/

Other notable quotes - and I'm guessing these are all right, but I pulled them from one of the commenters from the subreddit - I haven't seen the whole interview myself:

Quote:

Says Jews shouldn't have any influence in America because they don't accept Jesus

"Jews need to work for Christians"

"I would hire a Jew if I could look through their phone and know they are not a spy"

"Jews weren't the only inventors, Hitler was an inventor"

He is also against gay marriage now, "most gay people don't get married"

"This is a Christian country, the rules must be aligned with the bible"

"Anyone that likes a photo of a half naked woman on Instagram is a sexual predator"

You know there's much said about the bull**** coming out of Kanye's mouth these days but one real thing is that he has shown himself to be perhaps the most viscerally unlikeable public person on earth. Trump is hateable as **** but he also has a certain charisma that makes him hilarious, but Kanye is just purely unlikable with no redeeming qualities to his personality. It's kind of astounding just how much he projects sucking as a person.

TheBig3 12-06-2022 07:08 AM

Yeah he'd make a great cult leader

SGR 12-06-2022 07:49 AM

I mean, before all this went down, he basically was a cult leader, no? He had all those religious gatherings and 'sermons' during his Jesus Is King era and he even had his own school, the Donda Academy.

SGR 12-06-2022 08:00 AM

yknow, honestly when I heard about Kanye's first tweet, the "death con 3" one, I legitimately thought he'd wake up the next morning, delete the tweet, and send an apology tweet or something saying he was on ambien or something, like Roseanne. How wrong I was.

Yeah I guess. It's the Glenn Beck path.

SGR 12-06-2022 08:33 AM

Glenn Beck started his own school?

I have done, but honestly a lot of his drama videos are like 3 hrs long bruh... he really milks that **** too much for me to listen to him that much... but I remember the video he made about that broad who was faking tourettes. And I saw the video of him getting bullied by Haz at twitchcon

I also disagree that kanye is wholly unlikable with no redeeming qualities.

Well you're clearly a **** judge of character.

jwb 12-06-2022 12:25 PM

Even battys favorite podcasters from Knowledge fightwere talking about the life of Pablo like fan boys. To me he's always been over hyped in rap.

But yeah I think people want to have it both ways on pathologizing him on the one hand and yet on the other it's like he's still evil for being antisemitic even if we talk about him otherwise like he's not capable of being rational. There can be no normal empathy because the culture war always takes first priority.

But whatever else you want to say about Ye, he's actually genuine in everything he's saying to the point where he's willing to burn is billion dollar career to the ground. I have to admire that.

I don't know, maybe overhyped as a rapper. But as a producer he's always been great, if not a little derivative of RZA's style in the late '90s, but his style really grew into his own thing as he went on - but he's always had an incredible ear for music and samples. He crafted some of the best beats around in his prime.

Kanye as a personality has almost always courted controversy though. He's long come off as selfish, narcissistic, ego-driven, etc. Fans of rap generally wouldn't care much though because he'd be dropping banger after banger. What we're seeing today is that personality amped up to 10 and run through a weird alt-right fever dream. And after the tepid release of Donda and the complete disaster that was Donda 2, he hasn't released a great record since at least 2016.

Yeah i get that. I definitely don't watch everything he does, but when there is a good drama, I always hit up his channel. I just wish he'd stop being a lazy ass and put timestamps in his ****ing videos. And stop arguing with his chat like Hasan.

Well yeah he's got charisma on the mic and puts out good music, but I mean more on an interpersonal level like if you were just talking to him about literally anything he sounds like he'd be miserable to deal with. As an example I mean it can be annoying when somebody talks over you but there's okay ways to cut in when somebody's talking, but the way he just will not let himself be interrupted at all just makes it seem like he does not value anyone's input. I'm not even talking about his state of mind or the content of what he's saying.

jadis 12-06-2022 02:18 PM

One thing that sorta amused me on Twitter was seeing conservatives quote tweeting journalists who condemned Kanye and accusing them of hypocrisy cause they wrote a positive thing about him way back. "You praised a famous artist before he came out as a Nazi" is, in their minds, a gotcha because they've always known better than to have a positive opinion about a black rapper.
