I'd be incredibly surprised if this lasts any more than an additional 6 months. I think they'll either reach a peace agreement (Russia would probably get land) or Russia will turn tail and declare it a victory in domestic propaganda. I don't think Russia has the money to make this last as long as they did with the Soviet-Afghan war back when they were an (admittedly staglating) empire.

Um, Russia has already paid for its nuclear arsenal and Putin is insane enough to use it. We’d all best hope a group of relatively sane senior Russian generals ‘remove’ Putin from the planet before we all are.

Russia may not have enough money too keep up it’s monstrous slaughter & destruction but I’m sure China will cover any deficit.
