News Alert: Russian warship sinks in the Black Sea after Ukraine claims it was hit by a missile

One of the Russian Navy's most important warships has sunk in the Black Sea, a massive blow to a military struggling against Ukrainian resistance 50 days into Vladimir Putin's invasion of his neighbor.

Russian state news agency TASS reported Thursday evening that the guided-missile cruiser Moskva had sunk, citing a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"During the towing of the cruiser Moskva to the port of destination, the ship lost its stability due to hull damage received during a fire from the detonation of ammunition. In the conditions of stormy seas, the ship sank," the statement said, according to TASS.

Conflicting accounts have emerged about the incident.

Ukraine's Operational Command South claimed earlier on Thursday that the Moskva had begun to sink after it was hit by Ukrainian Neptune anti-ship missiles.

So, basically, either the Ukrainians sunk an important warship like they claim, or the Russians are incompetent when it comes to maintenance. Either way Putin doesn't look very good, does he?

My prediction: The Russians will take Donbas, annex it, declare the "Special operation" a resounding success (despite all the loses), the world will be "upset" for a year or two, then they'll go back to buying Russian oil, gas etc, and that'll be that.

doubt it tho i feel like ukraine prob can win this war cus they i know for sure are ready to fight till the end not only kick russians out of there country but take crimea and enter russia proper has well ...but that in turn will change the mindset of all the russian people when there own homes are now getting blown up ..... either way this is going to be bad alot of people will be dying soon
