I volunteer through my work to vaccinate the community, literally setting up pop-up clinics and distributing the vaccine.. I believe in science and understand how vaccines work, I also understand how displaced anger and groupthink works.. Go stroke your self righteous boners elsewhere and out of my face pls.
And yeah it is nice to think of only myself that’s clearly my nature you guys nailed it

Well as Frown says you started it nyah nyah nyah.
Seriously, if you're going to make a comment like that then expect outrage and anger, and the opposite viewpoint being pushed. Don't get all up on your own high horse because you damn well knew this response was coming, even if you won't admit it.

Yeah I agree with your point about angry mob thinking but if I understand you correctly your argument isn't 'I can't be bothered' like jwb. You're talking about not getting the vaccine until vulnerable people have had their turn, but things should be organised that way anyway. So basically you're saying something straightforward with edgy sauce over it (which like Frown points out is another form of self-righteousness).
About the vaccine being useless by the time it's your turn: that should be left to the scientists to judge. And surely you should realise by now that comparing covid to flu is not a good idea.

Absolutely. We're not scientists, and we don't know how this will go. Best to do what's right for the community ie world and let the eggheads worry about whether it's going to be good enough.
Got to wonder, if there'd been a vaccine for the Black Death would Steph and jwb's ancestors just boarded up their doors and said no thanks I'm too busy? Or I couldn't be bothered?
TBPF I do recognise the difference between jwb and Steph's take on why not to go for the shot - I proposed this very question in a thread before - but it's not up to us to decide when we should get it. Science is trying to protect everyone as best it can, so why not just let it do its job?
