I got my first dose of the new vaccine! So far so good, no side effects apart from the usual mild pain in shoulder

Got my first one yesterday. No side effects besides a slight soreness in my shoulder which is fading by now.
Can't wait for the second one in six weeks. Girlfriend got her second one Monday. She felt pretty sick (headache, fever) for a day after the first one and a little bit sick for a day after the second one. Grandma has been fully vaccinated for quite some time now which is a big relief for all of us. Mom also got her first shot yesterday. Things are getting better. Just hope I won't have to go to the office soon.

I feel you man! This working from home has revolutionized my life. Too bad we'll just go back to the way things were as soon as this finishes.
Anyway, congrats on all those vaccinated, happy to hear there were no major side effects. Here in the developing world the situation is obviously moving at a different pace. No word yet when I might be in line. I suspect somewhere at the end of the year. Maybe.

We actually will be able to work from home more than before the pandemic, yet still only two days per week. But my job specifically is such that I can work from home all the time without any issues. And my bosses wouldn't even object to that. But the union is pushing against 100% home office because they are afraid that the company will then gradually move all jobs from Germany to some low cost countries. Which is kind of a valid concern but on the other hand I don't think we even have that many jobs that can be done completely remotely. More flexible rules would be great.

Yeah that sucks, I'm glad you and yours are getting vaccinated though!
