Not at all. I just think it is rather amusing that she gets a ridiculous amount of attention compared to people who actually, you know, combat the climate crisis in some way. And now she's bashing Biden while simultaneously not advocating for people and companies that are actually doing something good about the issues she's so passionate about. Her platform is essentially useless.

Bro you suck tech capitalist dick cause you like that sci fi **** and the modern paradigm won't have to change. That meme was the tech capitalist version of hippy dippy nonsense. Expecting a teenager to know how to save the world is ridiculous. Her impact in calling attention to the issue is more than those goofballs will ever contribute to climate change.

Lol those "goofballs" have clearly made more of an impact than she has. The problem is that getting rid of plastic in the oceans is boring and uninteresting to the media, even if what they are doing makes more of an impact than a highly marketable autist ranting at government leaders to lower emissions....when they already are either in the process of doing so or are aware of it and won't do anything anyway. Her platform would actually serve a purpose of some kind if she advocated for investment or action with people who had the tech or science to do something about the problem.

The problem is that some scammer tech capitalist selling a solution to plastic pollution that doesn't involve changing consumption is just selling useless feel good bull**** that encourages a philosophy of innovation giving easy solutions to problems that don't have easy solutions and actually require a change in consumption.

There are no "easy" solutions...just practical ones, some of which likely don't get the funding or attention they deserve. Also, I looked into the two guys referenced in the meme and their respective solutions worked out in the real world. Governments should be paying attention to them.

True, but let's be real: her contribution was just being young and being like "Climate change bad how dare you blah blah blah" to the UN or whatever the **** (i have no idea tbh)

like.. she was in the right place right time whatever had her 15 minutes and that's that.

Why the **** are we still talking about this broad like she is somebody we need to keep tabs on?

She was a one and done folks don't know what you're all waiting for but theres no encore here ... :bonkhead:

And that's still more valuable to society than tech capitalists.
