I dont think it's very new or insightful that there's a similarity between conspiracy theories and religion either. it's an observation that is as stale as his comedy at this point. he's just preaching to the choir. hence the incessant applause breaks. ironically enough this sorta presentation comes across halfway cultish/ritualistic in itself, lol

even skeptics fall into a groupthink dynamic where they adopt a new set of normative beliefs that weren't forged by individual introspection but by parroting trends they find appealing. like i said before the hive mind is here. if you think you're the exception then the reality is you're still stuck in the matrix.
