He's right though about allies... Stalin and the US/Uk had nothing in common other than a common enemy. Regardless of who was in control of the USSR, the allies could've easily lost without help from Russia. So that alliance made perfect sense despite the antagonism between them. That's not a what if.. that's what happened.
