They benefit both from doing business over seas and importing cheap labor here. That's why right wing economic think tanks like Cato etc are actually pro immigration.The only people who actually don't benefit on average from immigration are high school drop outs from what I remember. The reason politicians appeal to xenophobic rhetoric is because people don't just vote on economic self interest and politicians will appeal to any impulse they can to get power.

But the blacks and the browns could benefit from solidarity as working class underclass, but liberalism does nothing to unite them and capitalism benefits from dividing them and since the status quo is liberal capitalism they are divided.
