Actually they changed the definition of deportation to include turning people away at the border. They didn't actively round up people who were already in the country more than Bush or anyone else... They just used that as window dressing to claim they're tough on the border to get some centrist appeal.
Ann Coulter of all people exposed that farce during the run up to Trump's 2015 campaign. But people have short memories.
