I'd say if the other person doesn't notice then there's no reason to open yourself up to the physical danger of outing yourself to any Yahoo you happen to trade tongues with.

In my opinion yes. Because you usually don't expect a transperson.

I have a question: Is pathologizing transsexuality (and homosexuality) against the forum rules?

As a German I have the impression that this forum is quite tolerant and maintains an American understanding of freedom of speech.

I'd say any reasonable statement of your opinions is ok, (by which I mean being calm and gentle about it, not aiming to troll or hurt) but going on a transphobic rant results in a ban.

About the trans question: I think you should tell people when a relationship is getting serious. Like Hawk said, living through something like that is so big and formative that by omitting it you leave out a part of yourself. That way it's very different from the number of sexual partners.

If your number of past sexual partners is zero or only one or well-over the standard deviation like over 100 I think it’s bad form not to mention that during courtship. With one night stands abnormal weirdness should be assumed so it’s more all is fair.
