A football loving Florida redneck? I'll bet you cried when that second tower went down.

Nah I think it's just a more modern version of good old fashioned imperialism/colonialism. I.E. Leveraging your position as a lender to exploit debtor nations for natural resources.

The US debt they own theoretically is designed as a similar form of leverage over us. Of course they aren't really worried about actually collecting a lump sum from us.

They buy up US currency because they want leverage and to a large extent they also depend on us economically. As 2008 showed. Of course that relationship goes both ways.

But yeah, as it stands China couldn't do **** if we said we're not going to pay. Our military dwarfs theirs. Investing in Africa doesn't change that. But of course they aren't even in it to make a quick buck anyway. They're playing to win.

lol

If you think America could win a war with China ha ha ha

America got its pretentious behemoth ass whupped by The Taliban. America can manufacture nothing. America cannot mobilize **** and Americans would not be willing to sacrifice **** to win a war. China would rape this ****hole and the world would laugh and cheer them on.

Actually having access to natural resources and being able to block American access makes a huge difference.

...

Its clear as day. If the US and China went to war it would be a conventional war. The old fashioned kind. Military vs military. The kind we haven't truly seen since WW2.

Afghanistan is irrelevant. We're "losing" in the sense that we're failing to occupy and build a stable nation. That's a much bigger project than just decimating a military.

If it came down to a serious war between the us and China, the us would just crush their military. Assuming it doesn't go nuclear because obviously them the whole planet loses. But in conventional warfare, China doesn't have the clout to take on America currently. They may descend into an ungovernable hellhole the way Iraq and Afghanistan did... But that's not the same as actually winning the war.

It's both.

Man you have really drunk the Kool-Aid. China has manufacturing, technology, an organized government, and an obedient population. America is a cluster**** on the brink of a civil war that can’t even test its population for covid or even manufacture its own surgical masks for its nurses.

... They're a distant second in terms of military might. That's just a fact. I'm not saying that can't change but that's the situation currently.

China's primary military objectives are in their own back yard. They're still jockying to maintain hegemony the south China Sea. America literally has a global naval empire that single handedly controls most of the trade routes the entire global economy relies on.
