The Supreme Court on Tuesday denied a request from Pennsylvania Republicans to block certification of the commonwealth's election results, delivering a near fatal blow to the GOP's long-shot bid to invalidate President-elect Joe Biden's victory.
I didn’t think they had the decency

So the Supreme court has rejected the Texas lawsuit. Most states have certified their results. Are we in the clear now? Can we finally relax?

It’s looking more and more like my predictions are wrong but we’ll see. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Nearly two-thirds of House Republicans join baseless effort to overturn election
Quote:
Among the 126 lawmakers who signed on to the brief is a particularly puzzling group: 19 Republican members of Congress who represent districts in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia and Wisconsin.

Those members all appeared on the same ballot as the presidential candidates and all but one were elected under the same rules to which they are now objecting.

(Meanwhile, Doug Collins, a Georgia congressman, ran for a US Senate seat and lost. Collins conceded his race, thereby accepting his defeat in a statewide election, and was later chosen by the Trump campaign to lead its recount effort in the state.)

By signing on to the brief, those lawmakers are essentially arguing that their own results could have been tainted by the same irregularities they say cost Trump the election in their state.
Just wow.

I don't know if we have to wait until January or the 14th of December for this nightmare to be over.

Btw, I was right.

I LOVE how curt the ruling was. Such a giant slap in the face.

The supreme court wrote: “The State of Texas’s motion for leave to file a bill of complaint is denied for lack of standing under Article III of the Constitution. Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections. All other pending motions are dismissed as moot.”
Boom!
