Elph sits in his dank apartment, half-buried in his moth-eaten armchair. In one hand he holds a Newkie Brown, half-drunk. In the other, he holds an eviction notice.

How did Elph get this way? Well turns out the girl who he drunkenly impregnated was unfortunately a bit too keen on the thought of the child. Even more unfortunately, she didn't even like Half Japanese. A girl who was incompatible with him bore his child for the full 9 months, and he bore the child support for the full 20 years. He was broke, about to become homeless, and completely whipped to the bone. All because of a child he never wanted.

"well," Elph said, taking a final sip. "it was her body and her choice, end of story."

And that truly was the end of Elph's story, because he died soon after at the ripe old age of 40 due to an unrelated anal cancer.

Woman decides "let's ****!" - and they did.
Man decides "let's ****!" - and they did.

Then a baby alarm goes off.

The woman only gets to regret because she's otherwise about to go through 9 months of physical mayhem, like some sort of terrible disease hit her.

The guy gets to eat ****.

I consider this fair, because they both actually made the decision when they decided to ****. That's what ****ing was invented for, actually. The orgasm is a deviously designed bit of bait to lure you into the trap of procreation.

Doesn't mean it doesn't suck to be stuck in the baby payment situation as a guy, but for reasons previously mentioned by Elph, the man can't have a say over the extra organ growing in the woman's body - practically a part of it until the string is cut.

Maybe the law is unfair w/r/t payment, but under no circumstance do I think some guy who shot his load should get to say "I changed my mind! Terminate the baby!"

Make sure they have treaded bottoms so you don't fall down the stairs and harm the beer child.

My friend recently got back from England and she is now pregnant from a friend she hooked up with over there. He wants her to get an abortion but she decided to keep the baby and raise it on her own. She doesnt expect money from him or anything.

How do you feel about this situation when monetary enslavment isnt involved?

No. Literally its antithesis.

To completely exclude the man in any decisions on what happens to what could be his child is blatantly sexist over an over simplification of the issue. Having a child is not getting a piercing or a tattoo or a surgery. It doesn't only affect her and her body. It's a very selfish way of looking at it.
The *fetus* is not a baby. The fetus isn't even a functioning, conscious human -- the fetus has no ethical value, as it has no personhood, and might as well be a parasite. no human rights infringement; what *could be* your child isn't actually your child, insofar as it ain't a child at all.

The denial of a person's right to hold dominion over themselves and make their own choices about their own body, however? That's tantamount to slavery, I'd say.

What you "want", post-pregnancy, is irrelevant to what you did to cause said pregnancy in the first place. Which, in turn, is irrelevant to whether that pregnancy is carried to term or not. Consent to sex is not consent to childbirth.

Huh? So what do you propose is done when the man decides the woman ought to go through with the pregnancy?

Have you not given this any thought beyond the mere repetition of the sort of prattle you've been preaching up 'til now?
