Do you do mindfulness meditation?

I don’t believe in anything woo or supernatural but I’ve been sitting still and following my breath for 10-30 minutes a day. It’s usually relaxing but sometimes it can be unsettling.

I enjoy it. I’m not worried about the science as long as I’m generally happy about the direction my emotional health is moving.

When I first started meditating it actually was almost anxiety inducing. Sitting still and forcing your racing mind to let thoughts come and go is rough. Now I can use it when im having anxiety to focus and slow the fuck down.

Get it with the spicy sauce instead. It's not really spicy if you're a bitch like that but it's way better than the mayo.

It's just kinda tangy, creamy sauce. The only thing we put it on is the "spicy" version of the dollar menu chicken sandwich. Or the Original if anyone knew we did that.

I have space questions:

1) Do we view space as an area interior space similar to navigating the ocean or an exterior space like navigating the planet (where you can walk in the same direction and end up where you started).

2) if we view it like the ocean how do we know that the north pole is actually in the z positive direction from the earths core?

You would never return to where you started.

Up is defined as away from the center of the earth defined by gravity and north is determined using the positioning of electrons / magnet / the compass

Yes. If the universe is a giant box and the earths core is at the origin how do we know the north pole is is the z positive direction of the coordinate system? Do we actually know or is it just depicted that way?

It’s depicted that way because we think of the North Pole relative to the earth’s core since we live on earth

It is just depicted that way. What you're touching upon here is one of the fundamentals of special relativity: there exists no absolute coordinate system, only coordinates relative to other things, so we might as well conveniently define the z axis by the earth's north pole

Edit: and as far as I remember the space of our universe is probably slightly positively curved, which might mean that you would end up where you started if you travelled in a straight line. I'm not certain though
