I don't intend to hijack threads, but I seem to have an opinion opposite that of the majority of posters, so it kind of turns into me vs. the world.

^ I don't think that size is an indication of how difficult a system is to take down. A democratic party can be removed by the simple, peaceful expedient of voting it out, whereas fascist dictatorships usually have a such a stranglehold that it takes war or revolution to take them down.

I disagree. The more hooks the government gets into us, the harder it is to get them out.

Under the U.S. system [a Constitutionally-Limited Representative Democratic Republic], ALL politicians can be voted out, regardless of their political affiliation.

You are right about fascism, but I don't know anyone who would call the current system fascist.

^ Do you ever watch Rachel Maddow? She takes a long time to make her points, but if you bear with this clip, she'll tell you in detail about the "dirty tricks" Republicans have been using to suppress votes in North Dakota, Texas and Georgia :-

Lis, I'm curious what your thoughts are on the recent situation of non-citizens getting registered to vote for midterms in places like Texas and California recently.

If you don’t think what’s happening in GA is voter suppression you have no idea what the **** is going on.

Here’s some democracy for everyone:

Number of black female governors in American history: Zero.

I don’t give a **** about third parties but here’s some math for everyone

1=1

One vote for a green or a libertarian increases their likelihood to win EXACTLY the same as one vote for anyone else. Writing on your own name increases the chances you’ll win by as much voting for anyone else.

That’s straight math and 100% indisputable. Any argument to the contrary is so stupid (no matter how commonly uttered) that I will not even entertain it. There’s no possible way I’m wrong. If you disagree you’re ****ing retarded.

I also want to say **** you to everyone who votes. It’s your fault our government exists. Seriously, eat a dick.

I would vote Democratic if I was a US citizen. Like Exo says on page 1 "I think the republicans are trying to end the f*cking world".

I only vote far left these days in Danish elections. Got my problems with left parties, but it's nothing compared to the right.
