you don't really get to make that choice, it's not something you can ignore. can't imagine the intensity of post-partum depression though, that's an entirely different ballgame.

for me, on my worst days i still make sure my dog is taken care of. he knows when i'm in a bad way though and will lay in bed with me all day if i ask him to. but my struggle with depression and inability to cope with the world for days at a time is certainly a factor in my decision not to breed.

give a better example.

I love this because my cat does the exact same thing. He'll come snuggle and sit with me when its obvious that I'm not doing well. He just knows.
