Same. It's hard to forgive somebody who's abuse was so integral in destroying huge chunks of your identity especially when they've spent your whole life making you feel like you're the problem.

Even knowing how your abuse spawned from what might be an even worse childhood. I can understand it, but I won't really ever forgive it. I shouldn't have to. Every single time the forgiveness tends to be exploited by people that will keep abusing you.

Even if some profound change happens in their life. Cool for them but I'm not going to free them from the repercussions of their actions.

You don’t have to forgive someone to take their money

If I could I’d kill my father for the money in his pocket idgaf

It would have to be a pretty substantial amount for me to act like I do give af though

Idk - he’s in elph’s life already - might as well see what you can milk out of him then - consciously manipulate him for whatever you can get elph, see if you can emotionally blackmail him maybe.

Idgaf about that. I was abused and I never abused anyone else. I know my father was abused. I’m glad. Probably the only worthwhile thing my grandfather ever did was beat the living **** out of my dad. He should’ve killed him.

Elph, just in case you didn't know this: Music Banter is the last place on earth you should be going for life advice.

Unless you're considering self-immolation.
Folks here will gladly tell you the cheapest to place to buy gas.

True that. Most likely because you had the foresight not to have children. If I had children I'd most likely abuse them with out medication simply because of my propensity to go through violent meltdowns. Even if it's not violent towards them having them see their father hurt himself or punch walls or what ever is not okay either.
