You have to do a full month, the joys of sober living don't hit until you go all 4 weeks.

Man- I just found joy in the crashing waves of the sea.

I know I ain’t you but I think it’s pretty fair to say that if I can still find occasional bursts of joy goddamn nearly anyone can. You’re a special unique snowflake but you’re not that unique. Joy will return to you. In fact, you were joyous at the dots show just recently

Not **** talking you either. Just saying things pass. Even melancholy and sorrow and the desertification of the mind.

Congratulations -

It takes time until the pain and fog clears and the sunshine of sobriety lets the happy seeds grow but they will. **** is going to be alright dude. Then it’ll be wrong again and the ride spirals down I’m not gonna lie but you, my friend, have a lot of good runs left- I’m sure of it.

Maybe for early stage alcoholism.
I set 100 days as my first major goal and even made a bit of a big deal about it when it arrived. Day 101 was terrible. Worse I'd had in a while.

Suicide is all or nothing. Obviously nobody regrets it.

You may regret starting an attempt but not finishing one and if it ain’t finished it ain’t a suicide yet.

What if you do technically die but they find you fast enough to bring you back?

For sure. The only thing sobriety guarantees is you wont be drunk or high anymore. It’s not a happy ticket. But alcoholic drinking or alcohol abuse or abusing any drug is a 99% chance of being a ticket to despair. Sobriety improves your odds of being able to work things out and solves one problem with 100% certainty. Sobriety cures your drug abuse problem. Not all the problems you made for yourself on the way but it does stop your current drug abuse problem which for almost every drug abuser is a huge step in the right direction. And it has a very good chance of letting some sunshine in.

I hate when people say oh I was dead. No you weren’t.

Mario Sunshine. Elph should sneak a T.V. and Gamecube into work and play Mario Sunshine all day while he gets paid.

They're just repeating what the doctor says.

Yeah. I don’t like it though. I like when people include important words like “almost”

I also like when scientist say things “approaching” infinity

Like if a black hole’s gravitational pull was “infinite” the entire universe would be sucked up into it already
