Well, good sex can be a great boost to self-esteem, but in one of life's cruel paradoxes, there's a problem too: if you are troubled by a lot of worries, then sex loses its appeal, and can actually become a cause of anxiety itself, because sex that goes badly can be pretty damaging.

And some people have a hard time with being sexual because they've experienced trauma that triggers a bad emotional reaction any time they try to be intimate.

Trying to force your sexual lifestyle on others just seems douchey and putting the idea out there that people need to constantly be having sex to be happy perpetuates a rape culture.

Only if you think sex and rape are the same thing. Personally, I understand the difference. Sex is consensual.
