Of course people should be careful about opening up on the internet, but this is only a place full of random strangers in theory; in reality this is a small community of people who generally know each other quite well. And we are justified in demanding that people aren't *******s about each other's mental issues.

I mean, it's the internet, not a therapist.

You shouldn't open up at all in a place full of random anonymous people where anybody can read and comment on what you say especially if you're sensitive about it.

Well that's a cop out bull**** way to be imo

Okay.

Sure.

And calling members that open up about their depression 'whiny and pathetic' for it is different.

For the most part people are respectful, though. Then people don't like how others express themselves and make backhanded comments about 'yeah, mental health'.

I'm not exactly clear what you want changed. To stay on topic all the time? Bickering obviously, people to quit using others' struggles for punchlines too. People are already very supportive.

I do think you feel entitled to belittle the mental health problems of straight white males.

Never mental health problems. If I have done then please hold me accountable - but general male shittiness is not a mental health problem.
