What do brain shivers feel like? I think I've had it when starting Steraline, I stood up, felt stabbing pains in my chest and then my head went blurry in waves and it felt like that feeling when you drop on a roller-coaster and your stomach is upside down. It didn't matter whether I stood up and walked around or sat down with my head on the table and closed my eyes, it was constantly there. Feeling like I was dropping into a pit of doom.
I'm sure it's what people describe as a brain shiver. |

In the past year or two I’ve really been struggling with anxiety to the point I constantly think I’m about to have a stroke or something as serious will happen to me. I quite often have panic attacks about it. Especially after I’ve been drinking etc so I’ve cut right down on that for my own sanity. I can’t handle the horrible thoughts constantly. It’s not just my own health I worry about, it’s my boyfriend, my family and any pets I have too. Docs prescribed me Propanolol? Which stops the physical symptoms of anxiety but it doesn’t help stop the worrying or panicking so I just stopped taking them.

I take a pills too
I just worry about how young people are getting prescribed all this stuff Like I’ve never had any kind of neurotransmitter testing or anything No one has ever looked at or tested my brain or nervous system it’s just like here’s your drugs At my age I’m kind of like less worried about it but I’ve already made it through my 20’s 30’s and 40’s you know They wanted me on adhd meds as a kid (Ritalin)and I refused to take them now I think I made the right call. I believe it was healthy for my thoughts to be jumping around. I was figuring all kinds of **** out just in my own way. Don’t take this the wrong way. I’m not giving advice. I’m saying mental health care needs to catch up. The brain is probably the part of the body they look at the least and that seems ****ed up considering it’s your brain and all.

They don't just prescribe stuff willy nilly over here. It was about three years until I was prescribed any medication, I had already done several lots of counselling and talking therapy. Once I was prescribed something it became easier to get it in future but there are hoops to jump through. It's very difficult to get repeat prescriptions also for things like SSRIs. Mine is on repeat now, but that took six months or so and they don't like giving you them without appointments.

Mental health care is a huge cluster**** in America and Florida is probably the worst state.
