Are you really that bitter about being fat? Just suck in your gut and get over it.

I got a new bathroom scale the other day and found out my old one was off by 10lbs and not in my favor. I told my therapist I wanted to hang myself but didnt because I would be too embarrassed if I tried and the beam didnt support my weight lol.

I relate

In all seriousness of course to get the thread back on track, how has the BPD diagnosis progressed? I have yet to bring up to my therapist that I think I have it.

The more research I do the more right it feels. At first I was resistant but the whole identity aspect is too on point.

That's a great start. Are you still seeing the therapist?

I don't really know how these things work, but I hope a new diagnosis like that can make your treatment more effective.
Hugs to both of you

At the very least having the experience validated by professionals is a weight off the chest. It's a blow to the ego but equally comforting at the end of the day.

I'm happy to hear that you feel the comfort of it. A diagnosis like that does not make you any less of a worthy person, but I guess you've been told that before. I know that hearing people say it doesn't make you magically feel it that way. I just hope that you know that it's true, even if you don't feel it. And in my experience, you start to embrace things like this more and more over time

America is so dumb. Everyone if fine with socialized fire and police departments. But the same people freak out when socialized medical care is brought up.
