I do believe that the basic American history K-12 curriculum is written from a white supremacist perspective. Patriotism is white supremacy.

I also often hear how civics isn’t being taught.

Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on your perspective not much else is being taught either. Civics is on the docket just like math and science.

The kids who know the most about the horrors of slavery and the injustices of tyranny are the same kids who can read. And the kids who can read can read because they do read. Those kids are mostly white or first generation minorities.

Not all, but most black kids don’t know anything about any kind of history, red or yellow black and white.
