It'd be hyperbolic and untrue if it were used in the same context you used "white people". You've already taken the position that EVERY white person is complicit, sooo another bad analogy? (Fixed)

Who's in charge doesn't come from the white majority.. it comes from years of history that his little to do with anyone alive today. You might as well be arguing that the people in nations with monarchies are to blame for who takes the thrown. All kinds of groups have little victories/defeats, but none of them are changing the American power structure.
