Well I don't agree that the government should get involved in bailing companies out, but obviously I understand the idea that people have put into their pensions for years etc. and it would suck major ass to lose that.
I would say that people should find other ways to save for retirement, but banks seem to be the only other alternative right now and they are also partial to imploding. It's just a sticky situation.

My objection to the original question remains a morality stance regardless of economics. But yeah we suck at economic theory and should probably leave that to the side.

So, we DON'T want families like the ROTHSCHILDs hoarding offensive amounts of cash, but we ALSO want the LIBERTY for the average person to feel safe and secure, and for citizens to do with their assets as they please, even in the event of their death, as long as they made legitimate [not necessarily legal] plans, ahead of time, about what they want to do with their assets after they die.
