Been listening a bit to lectures from historian and political scientist Michael Parenti. This one about World War II is especially interesting.

After knights and pirates it all gets pretty mundane.. I can appreciate the history of things like medicine, biology, math, etc..

The thing you have to realize about history is that no matter how accurately it's told or how well, you'll never be able to grasp or appreciate it in the way the people who lived it did. You don't have that problem in fiction.

Assuming I live long enough, I will be incredibly interested in reading the history of the Trump election and 9/11. I bet it's ****, any takers?
