If the means were available where you could feasibly have a lifespan of a few centuries, why wouldn't you take it? You'd get to see spaceships and all that Golden Age sci-fi **** and get an opportunity to explore the universe.

I only bring this up because within the next ten years you are going to see procedures and products on the market that have some kind of legitimate effect on lifespan. Especially in regards to some the advances being made with CRISPR and over the counter stuff that will eradicate your 'senescent' (AKA zombie) cells, among other things.

Was gonna post about Human+. If I can get the chance to live forever without aging into a crippled wallet then I'll shank any of you for it. But if I can't then I'm not going to make myself miserable clinging to life as long as I can. I'm smoking and drinking myself into an early grave cause that's the way I want to live my life, at least for the moment. If that takes ten or twenty years off of my life that I wouldn't have wanted anyway then **** it. At least I'll have been as drunk as I possibly could be in the meantime.

Besides, I enjoy being The Batlord in an odd way as I find the inside of my head to be a colorful and fun place much of the time, but I'm not gonna front like life probably isn't going to suck the joy right out of me sooner or later considering how I go about living and interacting with the rest of the world. I'm just not compatible with society I suppose, and it wears on a nigga.

And **** having kids. They're great for some people I guess, but I absolutely should not have children and I don't want them to an even greater degree.

For the record, I’m only speaking for myself. And I have to say I don’t hear many people who actually know me say I should’ve been a father. I definitely wouldn’t want to be my son.

Chula Vista 11-25-2017 10:39 AM

You seem like the kind of guy who feels really guilty when he falls six months behind on child support.

Probably just gonna watch the Lion King after a couple beers. You? Cause I know your wife hasn't touched you in over a decade. Or do you need a Cialis even for that?

hey just saw you guys in the other thread what's up

Lucem Ferre 11-25-2017 03:24 PM

I'm 25 and 27 because I gave myself 3 more years when I turned 24 to see if anything changes and if not then I'm killing myself. Plus, I can pretend like I'm a talented musician.

I'm not exactly sure what Chula's problem with what I said was. I'm I supposed to be 100% sure as if ones purpose is not subjective?

I hope you're not thinking about chucking it all in. I came very close to committing suicide at 27, but something kicked in that made me mad at myself, and I didn't do it. So don't give up if things don't change in three years. Maybe something will change when you're 29 or 30. There's always hope out there even if the world sucks sometimes.

why would I want to die after only making 300 albums

that's child's play

Frownland 11-25-2017 03:49 PM

I take life as it comes. If it's a short death then so be it. If it's a long and drawn out death then so be it. At least I'll have a new experience. But all in all, I know that if I make it out that I can annoy you bastards, and that keeps me fighting when it gets tough. Unless this site dies. Then I'll just kill myself.

For that you need to have solid, empirical, undeniable proof, and there is no such thing.

Same goes for you. There is nothing you can say DEFINITELY about the afterlife. For all you know, we could be living in the Matrix, or you could die and say "Is this the afterlife?" to which crowds of Higher Beings will chorus "Afterlife? You've been living it, mate!"

they're already dead

People told me that for years. You know, for some people it just doesn't get better. After all this time I don't want to keep going for the hope things will get better. Might as well make room for somebody who appreciates life more. But we'll see.

It varies from the mid 20s to the 30s. And they even think it's possible that the brain just never stops developing.
