Default Universal Basic Income or Class Warfare

https://www.scientificamerican.com/a...han-you-think/

Quote:
The average American believes that the richest fifth own 59% of the wealth and that the bottom 40% own 9%. The reality is strikingly different. The top 20% of US households own more than 84% of the wealth, and the bottom 40% combine for a paltry 0.3%. The Walton family, for example, has more wealth than 42% of American families combined.
To my fellow bottom 40: RISE UP!

We need to put a gun to the head of this capitalist power structure and say, “Stick em up, mother****er! This is a hold up! I’ve come for what’s MINE.”

I actually wrote a [short] article about universal basic income back in 2014.

https://consciousawarenessforall.wor...1/basic-income

I'm on board, as long as it is funded correctly.

Is it income inequality or mental illness that is the problem? Once you are set for life, why not be benevolent and help others? Of course, you owe nothing to anyone, but is it a mental illness to have the resources to fix a problem and refuse to do so?

First they came for the .1% ers. But I did not cauze I was like **** yeah, roll that dough over to mah library. I want public air transportation. So I didn't speak up.

Then they came for the 1%'ers and I was like, this aint **** but a drop after what we got out of the .1% but they used it to give the homeless showers and food and stinky begging stopped. So I didn't speak up.

Then they came for the 10% and, honestly, I was starting to sweat a little bit by that point. So I robbed a bank. Now I'm the taxman.

Then they came for me because I committed a felony. But since there was a psychologist for every prisoner in the country by that point, I made it quickly through my well-researched and effective rehabilitation program.

And then I became senator. And then president, and for a short time God. You can thank me for rainbow ****ting unicorns.

Anyway. That's the power of socialism. Vote for me as socialist party leader.

Explain your issue with capitalism if you don't mind? Exchanging money for goods and services seems like one of the most worthwhile things we do as human beings.

Also lol at "MINE", you ain't done shit for shit.

fyi, the gaps between the rich and poor exist under other economic systems, with the poorer people being worse off than under capitalism.

At some point in the future we may need to go towards a system like UBI due to automation, but we aren't anywhere close to that right now in my opinion. And I'd much prefer if people set up programs like: "Go to Africa and try and sort it the fuck out" instead of just basking in the glory of how amazing it is in western countries.

Everything on this earth came from this earth the same as I did. The earth gives everything away for free. That’s why I have the same right to everything on this planet as anyone else. I don’t have to do ****. **** a bank and paper and computer screens with numbers on it. **** money. It only has value as we recognize it. Don’t recognize.

You can’t actually believe that first paragraph. And I’m sorry for upsetting you, probably should have worded that bit better.
