Nope. A system with a combination of Capitalism and Socialism would probably be the way to go. The problem isn't people trying to make money legitimately, it's the corporations that are pushing out the small businesses.

And to respond to Down's logic, I'm not sure about the math, but you sound a little like Sean Hannity crying why should he be paying more taxes than the poor.

Are you seriously trying to equate a family making $150K a year (in any way) with billionaires?

Before the 2014 crash, Linda and I were averaging about $160K a year. We paid the expected taxes, wrote off whatever was legal, and got by.

Unlike billionaires, we couldn't afford high priced tax advisers to help us exploit the system. Didn't own massive amounts of property that we could exploit via the insane depreciation laws. Couldn't ship any of our wealth (we didn't even have wealth) offshore, and had no means to exploit "super rich people" tax loopholes.
