No offense but I doubt you know Solzhenitsyn‘s work better than I do.

Am I they only one here that things a pure form of any governmental philosophy is flawed and will inevitably fail, but Frankensteining a government that takes pieces from each would work much better?

And to respond to Down's logic, I'm not sure about the math, but you sound a little like Sean Hannity crying why should he be paying more taxes than the poor. |

Dont mind Chula he just takes everything personal when you have a different view point. Also my question was just meant to better understand elphs view. Anyone who decided to make it into something more probably shouldnt waste their time.
Dont bother. I dont care to engage with you in any kind of discussion that involves thinking and elph answered the question already.

Are you seriously trying to equate a family making $150K a year (in any way) with billionaires?
Before the 2014 crash, Linda and I were averaging about $160K a year. We paid the expected taxes, wrote off whatever was legal, and got by. Unlike billionaires, we couldn't afford high priced tax advisers to help us exploit the system. Didn't own massive amounts of property that we could exploit via the insane depreciation laws. Couldn't ship any of our wealth (we didn't even have wealth) offshore, and had no means to exploit "super rich people" tax loopholes. EXPLOIT verb (used with object) 1. to utilize, especially for profit; turn to practical account: to exploit a business opportunity. 2. to use selfishly for one's own ends: employers who exploit their workers. 3. to advance or further through exploitation; promote: He exploited his new movie through a series of guest appearances. Can't believe I once thought you were cool. Glad you can sleep with "your" point of view. Stop with the ****ing insults too. I can think just fine. Don't be a dick.
