Yeah, my phone makes me sound even more retarded.

Lucem, you're right, it's silly to talk about what I would or wouldn't do IRL. Glad you brought it up. Maybe you should write an instrumental about it. I recommend a piano paired with a clarinet. With ambient sounds of you hanging from your shower curtain you ****ing failure.

If it weren't for those evil capitalists, the only people today who would have access to any sort of legit personal computing would be government workers and university employees / researchers. Until the free market got involved, the interfaces were inefficient (and that's a nice way of putting it). You only reap the benefits of the internet in its current state (and associated tech) because you had innovative people in the private sector who wanted to create better products and services. When has government ever gone out of its way to become more efficient or cost-effective for the average person?

I think being able to mail something across the country in about 4 days for less than a dollar is a good deal.

Depends on what you are trying to send. In a lot of cases, UPS and FedEx can blow the USPS out of the water.

I mean he'd have killed himself without the internet so we'd all be richer.

I like how the internet allows me to forget that I have no life.

I like how the internet allows the human race to imagine that it has a purpose.

Notice that those who are bitching that we all need to destitute ourselves in the name of charity are doing exactly as much to end world poverty as those saying the exact opposite . . .
