I think perhaps in the past depression and suicidal discontent was under reported in third world nations. I’m not sure that the lack of struggle in some advanced countries really causes the fragmentation of social identity like so many people seem to believe.

Your intolerance of forethought and emotional response to everything is the kind of thinking that got us in this situation. It was never about making the list, it was about considering the implications of your position. You only consider the good you think it will do without considering much else.

I don't think I'm all that clever by the way. I don't think much of myself at all.

I'm still not sure why it's hard to grasp the idea that you can donate to charities and enjoy your own life without feeling selfish. None of the people arguing against this have not given any reason as to why you can't do both. It's either you donate or your selfish. Which I find to be complete bs. I'm gonna enjoy my life since I work hard for it. I'm not gonna feel selfish for buying myself a ps4 since I worked for it.
