Please stop with the communist utopia bullshit. It's the people that are the problem. This system didn't materialize out of thin air. It was built this way, and we all proliferated it, knowingly or unknowingly.

Striving for a promotion or raise is striving for more and easier access to the resources and services that you need to survive.

Unless we are willing to go to the root of the problem and try to fix it, then we need to stop complaining about the bad effects of the system.

What is the root of the problem?

- The privatization and monopolization of natural resources that belong to everyone.

- A society that favors wealth and possessions over kindness and generosity.

- Federal governments giving private banks the power to print currency and loan it to nations at interest.

. . . Just to name a few.

Wait so if I ask my boss for a raise because I feel I work hard enough to deserve it, that's greed? That's a ****ed up way of looking at it.

Or is this specific to the wealthy?

The Chinese elite super rich are doing using that approach to recolonize Africa and the long term effects might be even more devastating than what they suffered through with Europe in the 19th and 20th centuries. Africa will modernize but Chinese banks will own and control the infrastructure. Power grids. Transportation. Communication networks. Dams. All of it. And the control only demands a relatively tiny physical presence since they’ll be able to shut the entire continent down from Beijing. It’s already happening, too.

Read a book recently about Robert L. Johnson, America's first black billionaire. Fascinating guy, but I agree that its a crazy level of wealth to attain.

I can't agree with that. A person should have value in themselves and know what they're worth and what their time is worth. Does this apply when a boss agrees that the raise is warranted?

With this logic all wages should be the same regardless of the work. Is that what you're saying.
