You're trying to tell me that an increase in operating costs doesn't increase the price of goods produced and services offered? GTFOH.

McD can not pass the costs to the consumers because as you say, they will refuse to pay that much
That makes more sense

I do not believe that raising minimum wage will raise the price of a hamburger

One reason is evidence: hamburgers cost about the same wherever you go

Another is I don’t believe that it will affect supply or demand.

The owner of a restaurant doesn’t think oh this hamburger takes $1 to produce so $3 is a reasonable price. The owner sets the price at whatever will make him the most money. If he figures it’s $2 it’ll cost $2 if he figures it’s $50 it’ll be $50. It might be two for a dollar if that loss leader will make him money.

But anyway the cost of bumping the minimum wage will be passed on to the owner or the shareholders like elph said. If they could pass it on to you it would already be passed on to you. It’s not like anything is priced in a way that isn’t designed to maximize profits.

I don't think Presidents are allowed to have jobs.

Bankrupt Sears gets OK to pay executives millions in bonuses

Hypothetical:

If there were an assassination campaign against the top 100 richest Americans what sort of demands would be fulfilled to make it stop after the first 20 or so we’re killed

Single payer healthcare system?
UBI?
Free college?
End predatory lending?
$30 minimum wage?
12 weeks mandatory vacation for all workers?
Functioning primary and high schools?
Free wifi everywhere?
Excellent public transportation?
Free access to facilities that offer swimming and exercise machines?

.1% of 1% have as much money as the bottom 90%.

There is nothing wrong with being rich. But not doing anything positive to give back to the society that made you rich is definitely wrong.

A man who makes $35,000 a year would have to work 2,850 years to earn a 100 million dollars.

A man who makes $35,000 a year would have to work 28,500 years to earn a billion dollars.

As long as it's like that I’m cool with them giving back. They can give back all of it plus their lives for interest and overdue fines.
