In America only, 33 million viewers for the first and last seasons, and pretty consistently between that (lowest was just under 20 mill for season 9). Also won 37 Primetime Emmys. Yeah, just a little show tucked away that nobody ever heard of.

Grew up with Frasier. Was like a second Friends tbh. And that should mean as much as it means to all of you who know who you are.

I didn't say nobody ever heard of it but it's still a piece of **** show up there with Everybody Loves Raymond, Friends and Seinfeld. How many times have we said on this forum that popularity doesn't mean quality.

I don't care it was a garbage show. What were you doing watching that show at your age anyways? Boring piece of ****.

Another fictional Crane - not a psychiatrist, but the titular hero of a tv series. This one is surely obscure ( with or without sarcasm) :-

What was he on that show? A stuntman? An undercover cop?

He was a tough businessman/small time crook with a soft heart, and the prog was clearly inspired by the film Casablanca. Have you seen that movie, dj?

Quote:
The series was based around Richard Crane (Patrick Allen) who was a successful city businessman who was tired of the big city rat race. He took his money and retired to the sun drenched shores of Morocco, near Casablanca, investing his money in a beach side café and boat.

Having let it be known that his services were available for import and export assignments, he soon found himself involved in minor smuggling activities...
