I'm not defending banning Tik Tok but you comparing that to the Chinese censorship of the net for their citizens is Western privilege.

IMO Tik Tok is indeed very likely to be spyware but then again so are all other forms of social media.

Yup. Our government doesn't mind at all when it can leverage domestic tech companies to spy on us. But when another government does it, forget it! This is a monogamous spying relationship!

Yeah, if there's a way to make this appointment without any legal consequence, I think Trump will do it. Typically, presidents would wait. Trump's not typical.
