Would it be like Trump to come out in interviews or at rallies and say "Well, I might win, I might not - polling shows that it's a tight race, but our internal polling shows that I'm likely to win as long as I stay on message"? Quote:
After that occurs, the Republican party would not stand behind Trump (in the unlikely scenario) if he chose to continue to deny reality. It's not "rationality" that will guide Trump but rather self-interest. If the results are litigated, and the ruling is not in his favor, he would become forever humiliated if he still tried to cling to power. Losing would be humiliating enough, being dragged out of the White House by the secret service and sent to prison would be more than he could handle. Last edited by SGR; 08-29-2020 at 02:35 PM. |
