Comparing it to the US foreign policy regarding the Iraq War, which resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths, seems like a false equivalency to me. What about the assassination of Gadaffi? Were the consequences of that insignificant?

How would you propose that we pull out of Northern Syria? Should we stay there until everyone is hunky dory with each other and singing Kumbaya in the name of Yahweh and Allah?

I know you instinctively support any measure that "removes troops" even if it just moved them to a different part of the middle east, but yea, that was a demonstrably stupid and/or murderous move and you should feel evil and/or stupid for supporting it.

Yes I’d rather have the dem plan but the republicans have the power to put the breaks on wherever they want. I can’t eat a plan and neither can anyone else.

Just like NK was serious when they were firing off missiles. It's just saber rattling. Iran saw what happened to Iraq - and for all of Trump's faults, some of their leaders might actually believe that he'd be crazy enough to engage in some kind of war against them.

The way tensions escalate isn't like a movie. We're much more alienated from Iran than we were before, as well as Iraq. Iraq already had a decent amount of Iranian influence but that killing was essentially the equivalent of handing Iraq to them on a silver platter.

As of the Iran deal... They've completely stopped complying and you won't see the real consequences for pulling out until Iran is a nuclear power... Which they will certainly be at this rate.
