It's a simple cop out which is why I'm not entertaining it. In this case I get the same lame tactic used by left wingers and right wingers alike, anytime I criticize either side. It's one infuriating trait they do share.

Tbf centrists do it too. They might be the worst because they do it to both sides.

Nah, it seems like a cop out to me.

Let's be clear.... It's a pattern I've specifically noted in the left. I haven't seen the same exact pattern on the right. Maybe it's out there, maybe it's not, I'm not going to go looking for an equivalent everytime I voice a criticism just to seem "fair." And you've yet to provide a real counter example. So I can't help but think..... You're just deflecting to turn the conversation away from criticism of the side you support.

Cheap whataboutism is all too common, but using that fact as an excuse to dismiss counterexamples is a lame cop out as well.
